What is Swine Flu??

Swine flu is common throughout pig populations worldwide. Transmission of the virus from pigs to humans is not common and does not always lead to human influenza, often resulting only in the production of antibodies in the blood. If transmission does cause human influenza, it is called zoonotic swine flu. People with regular exposure to pigs are at increased risk of swine flu infection. The meat of an infected animal poses no risk of infection when properly cooked. Source

What are some disorders/diseases that are common for teens?

It has been a result that nearly two thirds of boys and nearly three quarters of girls have at least have one psychiatric disorder. 2o percent of teens have a major depressive disorders. Most teens have an anxiety disorder caused by school, moving or a loss of a parent. Bipolar is another disorder a teen could possibly get. Eating disorders are common between teenage females because someone told them they're fat or they want to be like everyone else. I said just be yourself, I honestly don't care what everyone thinks of me, but sometime i do have my moments and worry about things like that but thats natural to worry sometimes.

Judism (World Studies project)

Intro: Judaism was founded in 70-75 C.E. There is about 14 million people associated with Judaism, so that would mean that Judaism is one of the largest religions in the world. Main locations you could possibly find Judaism is in Israel, Europe, and USA.
Founder
:
The founder wasn't just one person it was a small nation of Hebrews. Abram is the one God chosen to be the father of new spiritual human way. God helped him with the start of Judaism. Abram's son, Isaac was the ancestor of the Jewish people.God then blessed him that his followers or descendants will multiply and grow and promised Abram that h and descendants will rule Canaan. God tested Abram 10 times and he passed every single one. Judaism was the start on believing in one god. Abram died at the age of 175.
Holy Books:
One holy book is Torah. Which means many different things but in this case it refers to the 5 books of Moses: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. It can also refer to the entire Jewish bible the laws and teachings. Another book is Tanakh, the old testament and new testament.
Religious Holidays:
D
ays of Awe or the Days of Repentance. the concept that God has books that he writes their names in, writing down who will live and who will die, who will have a good life and who will have a bad life. That goes on all ten day but it depends on their deeds during the Days of Awe. Hanukkah is the most celebrated American Jewish holiday. It means Rededication. They live by God's commandments. Hanukkah begins every year on the 25th of the Hebrew month of "Kislev" or December.
Rituals:
Bar/Bat Mitzvah is when a Jewish boy automatically becomes Bar Mitzvah when he turns 13 years old, and a girl(Bat Mitzvah) at age 12 because it is known that a female matures earlier than a male. its the celebration of them becoming a man or a woman, just as their bodies are growing and changing, so their souls are growing and changing also. Other rituals are Death, Marriage, Divorce, and Mourning is Between death and burial, First three days following burial (visitors are sometimes discouraged to visit during this time since the loss is still too fresh.) Shiva seven-day mourning period after the burial (this includes the first three days.) Shloshim -- 30 days following burial (this includes shiva.) The mourner slowly emerges back into society.Twelve-month period (includes shloshim) life becomes more routine.
Particular Clothing:
In the photo to the right is a Tallit Katan. Which is developed to allow them to fulfill the commandment given in the Torah. The tallit can be made of any fabric except a mixture of wool and linen interwoven which is banned by the Torah.
Hierarchy:
The Rabbi(teacher of Torah) is on the top. A president and council after the Rabbi. Then the rest of the people in the community.

What would happen if my friends disappeared.?

Well if my friends did actually disappear from the face of the earth, I'd probably freak out because my friends are my whole life and if they did disappeared, I wouldn't have anyone to help me through personal problems or just any kind of problems and no one would be there when I am blue or about to burst into tears because of boy problems and when the whole world has turned against me, who would be there from me and tell me that everything will be okay, who would laugh at my stupid jokes even if there weren't even funny or who would jokingly laugh at me for my mistakes that are very simple and are very easy to fix, who would be there if I just had to get something heavy off my shoulders.? If my friends were to disappeared from the face of the earth i would probably be in a deep depression for the rest of my life.

Game Addiction

I read a website about video game addiction moments ago and it's more likely for a college student to be addicted than a pre-teen or teen. College students love to play Xbox Live than something more like a play station 2. Liz Wooley made 'Online Gamers Anonymous' because her son was addicted to 'Ever Quest', a popular online role-playing game and ended up committing suicide in front of his computer screen at the age of 21 but for most college students, their addiction isn't as bad. For Xbox Live is able to let students bond over games and get a gaming fit with out doing many things. A solution to the addiction is wasting time.In the last paragraph it states "If a student is not introduced to video games until later in life, then he is more likely to have already devoted his time to other interests and will able to develop a healthy attitude towards gaming" This ties in with my friends because some of my friends are video gamers and sometimes on beautiful days they stay in and glue their faces to the computer screen or t.v. screen.

My friends Community :)

As part of Team 3 I am exciting to be blogging this year on the topic of co-existence.
Hey I am in English class, I am here to talk about my social life with my friends. Well I have two main best friends and a few close friends, I usually have trust issues because I've been back-
stabbed by an old friend of mine and that's really the main reason why i barely hang out with friends, unless they are my closest friends. What your mainly going to read about is the drama between me and my friends such as boys, school, relationships, back-stabbing etc... I hope you would like read more about mine and my friends conflicts in the near future.
